I will help
others.
Jesus shows us that greatness begins with serving.
A conversation, an act of kindness, a prayer.
Start with one moment together.
Jesus shows us that greatness begins with serving.
Because of Jesus,
we can live a new life.
Series memory verse · 2 Corinthians 5:17
Read 2 Corinthians 5:17 together in your Bible. Stretch out your arms for “new creation,” point behind you for “old,” and reach forward for “new.”

The secret service challenge
Choose one kind thing to do for someone without being asked. Set the table, write an encouraging note, or help a sibling clean up.
Then ask: How did helping someone change your day?
Invite everyone to add a name
Jesus, thank You for showing us how to serve. Help us notice people who need a hand. Give us kind hearts and willing hands. Show our family someone we can help this week. Amen.
Begin with something your child experienced today. Ask, “Where did you notice kindness?” or “Was anything hard today?” Listen first. Then connect one thought to Jesus. A short, honest conversation is enough.
Keep the invitation gentle. You can pray while your child listens. Offer one simple prompt: “What’s one thing you’re thankful for?” Let prayer become a familiar conversation with God rather than a performance.
Choose a short story. Read a few verses, then ask: “What happened? What does this show us about God? What can we try today?” For younger children, use an age-appropriate story Bible and retell the story together.
Ask what they understand about following Jesus. Explain that baptism is a public way to show faith in Him. Read Acts 2:38–41 together, and talk with the Gateway Kids team about the next step.
A chance to connect, have fun, and invite another family.
